Four to six days is one of the most common lengths for a Bali trip — a long weekend plus a few days, or one stop on a longer journey through Indonesia. It falls between the short-rental advice (1–3 days) and the weekly packages most guides talk about, so it's easy to overpay or to miss that a week would cost the same. This guide gives the exact totals for 4, 5, 6 and 7 days on every popular scooter in our catalogue, explains how the days are counted and where the weekly price kicks in, and helps you time delivery around your flights. All prices are on the Bali scooter rental page too.

How a 4–6 day rental is counted

  • One day = 24 hours from handover. A scooter delivered at 2 pm on Monday for 5 days is due back at 2 pm on Saturday.
  • Minimum rental is 2 days, so any 4–6 day trip qualifies without workarounds.
  • Weekly package as a ceiling. Where a model has a weekly price, a rental of up to 7 days never costs more than that weekly price. Past that point, extra days add nothing until the 7th.
  • Delivery is charged once per booking, not per day, and already covers the pick-up at the end.

This is simply how our booking system totals a rental: it takes the cheapest combination of daily, weekly and monthly prices for your dates. You don't have to ask for the weekly rate; it's applied automatically.

Totals are rental only, in Indonesian Rupiah, before delivery and any extras you choose. Fuel is never included.

The day-6 effect: when a week costs the same

For these models, the weekly package already caps the total at 6 days or earlier: Honda Scoopy (Gen 2), Honda Vario 110 FI, Honda BeAT (Gen 4–5), Honda Scoopy (Gen 4), Yamaha Fazzio 125 Hybrid, Honda Vario 125, Vespa Primavera 150, Yamaha XMAX 250 (Gen 2). In plain terms: if you need a scooter for 6 days on one of them, you can keep it a 7th day at no extra cost — handy if your flight is late on the last day.

For the Yamaha NMAX 155 (Gen 2) and Honda PCX 160 (Gen 2), the weekly price only becomes cheaper on the 7th day, so a 6-day rental is counted per day (Yamaha NMAX 155 (Gen 2): IDR 900,000 for 6 days, IDR 902,000 for 7).

Models without a weekly package (Honda BeAT (Gen 2–3), Yamaha Gear 125, Honda Vario 160, Honda ADV 160 ABS) are counted per day for a 4–7 day rental, so each extra day adds the full daily rate.

If you're booking 5 or 6 days on a model with a weekly package, compare the 6- and 7-day totals before you send dates. An extra day can cost little or nothing, and the scooter can stay until you leave for the airport.

Staying somewhere else — Ubud, Amed, Lovina? Ask on WhatsApp for the delivery fee to your address before booking.

Timing the handover around your flights

With 4–6 days, the first and last day matter. A few practical patterns:

  • Landing in the afternoon or evening? Have the scooter delivered to your hotel the next morning rather than riding tired after a long flight; take a car from the airport. See airport transfer + scooter delivered to your hotel.
  • Landing in the morning and feeling fresh? Delivery to Ngurah Rai Airport is free, but you'll be riding with luggage — only sensible with a small backpack.
  • Late flight out? Count the 24-hour days from handover so the return time falls a few hours before you leave; on models with a weekly package, check whether an extra day is free. See late flight on your last day.

Making 4–6 days count

In four to six days you can comfortably cover one base area plus two or three longer day rides. Most visitors pick either the south (Canggu, Seminyak, Uluwatu) or Ubud as a base, rather than moving every night. Our 5-day Bali itinerary by scooter lays out a route; for a shorter version see the 3-day itinerary.

Which scooter for a short trip

  • Solo, town riding: a Honda BeAT (Gen 4–5) or Honda Scoopy (Gen 4) — light, cheap, easy to park.
  • Two people, some hills: a Honda Vario 125 or Honda Vario 160.
  • Two people, long day rides (Kintamani, Bedugul): an Yamaha NMAX 155 (Gen 2) or Honda PCX 160 (Gen 2).

Still unsure? Choosing between a BeAT and a Vario and premium scooter rental in Bali compare them in detail.

Two scooters or one?

Travelling as a couple or with a friend, two light scooters are often more comfortable than one bigger one for two people, and on a short trip the difference is easy to work out. Two Honda BeAT (Gen 4–5)s for 5 days come to IDR 800,000; one Yamaha NMAX 155 (Gen 2) for the same 5 days is IDR 750,000. If both scooters are delivered together to the same address, the delivery fee for your area is usually agreed once for the booking — confirm it in the chat. Two scooters means two licences with IDPs, of course; one scooter means one rider and one passenger, both in helmets.

On a 4–6 day trip there's also less time to get comfortable on the road, so choose the scooter you'll feel confident on from day one rather than the one that looks best in photos. You can always ask to swap if a unit is free.

If your plans change

Short trips change often — a day trip to Nusa Penida, a rainy day, a new hotel. Cancellation is free, and you can extend in the same WhatsApp chat before the return time; the admin confirms the new total, and if you cross into a weekly package the cheaper total applies. Read extending your scooter rental. Going to Nusa Penida or Lembongan for a day or two? Scooters don't go on the fast boats, so tell the admin before booking and plan the rental around the boat days — Nusa Penida or Nusa Lembongan? helps you choose.

Checklist for a 4–6 day rental

  • Count your days as 24-hour blocks from the handover time.
  • Compare the 6- and 7-day totals if your model has a weekly package.
  • Add the delivery fee for your area (once per booking).
  • Plan handover the morning after a late arrival.
  • Home licence + International Driving Permit (motorcycle category) and passport ready.
  • Two helmets come with the scooter — strap them every ride.
  • Small cash for parking; budget a little for fuel.

Book your 4–6 day scooter

Pick a model on the scooter rental in Bali page or send the details below; the admin replies with availability and the exact total.

  • Free delivery and pick-up to Ngurah Rai Airport and hotels or villas in Kuta, Legian & Seminyak.
  • Other areas cost extra: Kerobokan, Berawa, Umalas, Sanur & Jimbaran IDR 60,000; Nusa Dua, Canggu & Pererenan IDR 80,000; Uluwatu IDR 100,000 (return trip included); anywhere else, ask on WhatsApp.
  • Pay in Indonesian Rupiah when the scooter arrives (bank transfer or e-wallet) — nothing paid in advance.
  • Your passport is shown, not held — with your home licence + International Driving Permit at handover.

  • Optional extras: brand-new helmet IDR 50,000, phone/GPS holder IDR 20,000 per rental, plastic raincoat IDR 10,000 each.
