Delivery is the best part of renting a scooter in Bali: you book on WhatsApp and the bike comes to you. The only thing that slows it down is finding you. Bali addresses are famously vague — a villa might be "Jl. Raya Canggu" plus a lane with no sign and three villas with similar names. Five minutes of preparation means your scooter arrives at the right gate, at the right time.
Why Bali addresses are hard
- Gangs (lanes) often have no street sign, and several villas share the same main-road address.
- Booking-site addresses can be approximate. The pin on a booking app is sometimes a block away from the real gate.
- Villa names repeat. There can be more than one villa with "Bali", "Rice" or "Bamboo" in the name in the same area.
- Gates look alike at night, and complexes may have one security post for many villas.
Step by step: send a perfect Google Maps pin
- Open Google Maps and search for your villa. Check the satellite view: is the pin really on your building?
- If not, press and hold on the exact gate to drop a pin.
- Tap the dropped pin and choose Share, then send it to the admin on WhatsApp.
- Add the villa name, unit or room number, and the villa manager's phone number if you have it.
- Already there? Take a photo of the gate or sign from the lane and send that too.
Google Maps also shows a short plus code (letters and numbers with a +) when you tap a pin. Sending it alongside the pin is a handy backup.

Timing: check-in, late arrivals and early starts
Tell the admin your check-in time, not only your flight time. If you land at 4 pm but can't get into the villa until 3 pm the next day, the scooter can be delivered to where you'll actually be.
