Riding solo around Canggu
If you'll mostly ride between your villa, the beach, cafés and the gym, light and narrow wins. The Honda BeAT (IDR 80,000/day) is the classic choice: easy to push backwards into a parking row, easy to turn in a lane, and frugal. Villas on rough lanes
Some villas in Pererenan, Umalas and the fields behind Batu Bolong are reached by broken concrete or dirt lanes that get muddy after rain. The Honda ADV 160 (IDR 180,000/day) has longer-travel suspension and ABS and feels calmer on that surface. It's taller, so it suits riders who are comfortable with a scooter already.
Surfers
Carrying a board? Side surf racks are common in Canggu, but not every scooter has one fitted. Ask on WhatsApp whether a scooter with a rack is available for your dates — it isn't guaranteed.
