Uluwatu & Bukit Beach-Hopping by Scooter in One Day
By the SiapPergi Editorial Team · Published 8 October 2026 · 6 min read

The Bukit Peninsula at Bali's southern tip has a string of white-sand beaches framed by limestone cliffs. With a scooter you can visit several beaches in one go and end the day with the Kecak dance at Uluwatu Temple.
Suggested route order
- Pandawa Beach (morning) — limestone cliffs and calm water.
- Melasti Beach — the iconic cliff road down to the beach.
- Padang Padang Beach — a small beach reached through a gap in the rocks.
- Bingin Beach — lunch at a clifftop warung.
- Pura Luhur Uluwatu (afternoon) — sunset and the Kecak dance.
- Seafood dinner in Jimbaran on the way back.
The total distance is roughly 60–70 km if you start from Jimbaran or Kuta.

Which scooter to ride
Many beach access roads drop steeply and then climb back up. An NMAX or PCX is most comfortable with a passenger; solo riders can use a Vario 125.
Tips
- Bring drinking water and sunscreen — the Bukit is dry and hot.
- Many beaches require walking down steps from the clifftop car park.
- Watch out for monkeys at Uluwatu Temple; keep your belongings under the scooter seat.
- Arrive at Uluwatu Temple about an hour before sunset to get Kecak tickets.
