For a lot of visitors, hiring a car with a driver is the single best decision of their Bali trip. You don’t navigate, you don’t park, you don’t deal with scooters overtaking on both sides — you just look out of the window and point at things. It’s also surprisingly affordable. Here’s what it costs per day, what’s included, and how to plan a day that doesn’t waste half of it in traffic.

How much is a car with driver in Bali per day?

CarPassengersTypical price per day (10–12 h)
Toyota Avanza / Daihatsu Xenia / SigraUp to 5–6IDR 550–700k

These are estimated 2026 market ranges for South Bali (Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Sanur, Ubud). The real price depends on your route, the season and how many people are travelling. For SiapPergi’s airport transfers and full-day tours, the admin sends a price for your exact plan on WhatsApp before you confirm.

Sample day trips (and the order that avoids traffic)

  • Ubud classic: Tegallalang rice terraces early (before the crowds), Tirta Empul water temple, coffee plantation, Ubud Monkey Forest, Ubud market. Start at 7–8 am from South Bali.
  • Kintamani volcano: Tegallalang → Kintamani for lunch with a view of Mount Batur → Tirta Empul on the way back. Bring a jacket; it’s cool up there.
  • Bedugul & Munduk: Ulun Danu Beratan temple on the lake, Handara gate, twin lakes viewpoint, a waterfall near Munduk. Long day — consider an early start.
  • East Bali: Lempuyang (Gates of Heaven) at dawn, Tirta Gangga water palace, Amed for snorkelling. Usually counts as a far destination.
  • Uluwatu sunset: Padang Padang or Melasti beach in the afternoon, Uluwatu temple and the Kecak fire dance at sunset, seafood dinner in Jimbaran.

Car with driver vs self-drive

Self-drive is cheaper on paper — a 7-seater in our catalogue starts around IDR 310,000 a day — but you pay fuel and parking yourself, navigate Bali’s narrow roads and handle the stress of driving on the left. For long days inland, most families find a driver worth it. Our side-by-side comparison is in self-drive or car with driver?.

Airport transfers

Landing at Ngurah Rai after a long flight is the moment you least want to haggle with taxi touts. A pre-booked transfer means a driver waiting at arrivals with your name. Prices depend on your destination — Seminyak and Canggu are a lot closer than Ubud or Amed. Book it in the catalogue, or see our travel & shuttle options from Bali airport.

How to book

  1. Choose “Fullday Tour Bali” or “Airport Transfer Bali” in the car catalogue.

  3. The admin sends a price on WhatsApp. Once you agree, it’s confirmed.
  4. Pay when the service is delivered — no deposit up front.
