Keramas sits on the coastal bypass between Sanur and Klungkung: a line of surf stays, villas and rice fields running down to a dark-sand beach. It's a smart base — 20–30 minutes from Sanur's cafés, under an hour from Ubud and the east — but there's little within walking distance once you leave the beach. A scooter makes it work. This guide is for people staying in Keramas or the nearby Saba, Lebih and Ketewel coast; the wider regency is covered in scooter rental in Gianyar.

Getting a scooter delivered in Keramas

Keramas is close to both Sanur and Ubud, so villa delivery is normally straightforward. Send your villa or surf-camp name with a Google Maps pin; the admin confirms the delivery time and total price on WhatsApp, and you pay when the scooter arrives. You can also have it delivered in Sanur or Ubud if you're moving between areas.

Which scooter for Keramas?

ScooterDailyWeeklyMonthly
Honda BeAT (Gen 4–5)IDR 80,000IDR 425,000IDR 1,210,000
Yamaha Fazzio 125 HybridIDR 100,000IDR 515,000IDR 1,510,000
Honda Vario 125IDR 100,000IDR 515,000IDR 1,510,000
Yamaha NMAX 155 (Gen 2)IDR 150,000IDR 902,000IDR 2,260,000
Honda PCX 160 (Gen 2)IDR 150,000IDR 902,000IDR 2,260,000

The coastal bypass (Jl. Prof. Ida Bagus Mantra) is wide and fast with strong crosswinds in places — a heavier scooter like the Honda Vario, NMAX or PCX feels more planted than a 110 cc. For quick village hops and beach runs, a Fazzio or BeAT is fine. Surfers: ask for a board rack when booking.

Riding tips for the Keramas coast

  • Trucks and buses on the bypass. This is the main road to the east ferry port. Keep left, check mirrors and don't weave between lanes.
  • U-turns are the risky part. Use the official U-turn gaps, slow down early and signal; never cross directly over the median.
  • Crosswinds near the river bridges and open fields — keep both hands on the bars and lower your speed.
  • Beach access lanes are sandy at the end; park on firm ground.
  • Swim with care. The currents on this coast are strong; Keramas is for surfing, not swimming.

Going to the Gianyar night market? Ride there before dark, park in a lit spot and lock the steering. Full night-riding advice: riding at night in Bali.

How booking works

  1. Pick a scooter in the catalogue (or tell us your height, route and how many riders and we'll suggest one).
  2. Send your dates (minimum 2 days), the hotel or villa name with a Google Maps pin, and your WhatsApp number.
  3. The admin confirms the bike, the total price and the delivery time — no payment yet.
  4. The scooter arrives with 2 helmets. Check it together, show your passport and licence, then pay in full (bank transfer or e-wallet).

Book on WhatsApp or via the Bali scooter rental catalogue: the bike is delivered to your hotel or villa and you pay when it arrives — no deposit.
