Ubud is surrounded by terraced rice fields, ancient temples, waterfalls and art villages. Almost every sight lies outside the town centre, so a scooter is the freest way to explore. Prices and booking are on the Ubud scooter rental page; this article focuses on how to ride here and where to go.

Which scooter suits Ubud

Roads around Ubud go up and down and wind a lot. For one person, a Honda BeAT is enough. With a passenger or for Kintamani, choose at least a Vario 125, ideally an NMAX or PCX.
