Car Rental in Nusa Dua (2026): Self-Drive Cars Delivered to Your Resort, Prices & Tips
By the siappergi.com team · Published · 7 min read

Nusa Dua's resorts are beautiful, but they're built for staying in — step outside and the nearest beach club, warung or temple is a taxi ride away, every time. A rental car changes the trip: Uluwatu sunsets, Jimbaran seafood and Tanjung Benoa water sports all become easy half-day outings. Here's what it costs, how resort delivery works and what to know about driving around the southern peninsula.

Resort delivery: how it works
- Send your resort name and booking name on WhatsApp; the car is handed over at the lobby or driveway.
- Nusa Dua's resort area has security checkpoints at its entrances — normal, just say which hotel you're going to.
- Most resorts have guest parking; ask reception when you check in.
- Flying in? The car can meet you at the airport instead, so there's no transfer to pay for.

The Bali Mandara toll road
The toll road over the water links Nusa Dua with the airport area and Benoa — usually the quickest way north. Payment is cashless: you need a prepaid e-money card with credit on it. Ask the admin when you book whether the car comes with one, and check the toll and fuel budget in fuel, parking & toll costs for a car in Bali.
Driving on the left for the first time? Do a short loop inside the quiet resort area before heading onto the bypass.
Car, driver or scooter?
For families and groups a self-drive 7-seater is the best value. If you'd rather not drive, ask for a car with driver. Couples who want to explore the cliff beaches can add a scooter from IDR 70,000/day — see scooter rental in Nusa Dua.
What you need
- Passport (shown at handover — you keep it, nobody holds it).

How booking works
- Tap the WhatsApp button and fill in the blanks: car, dates, hotel or villa, passengers.
- The admin replies with what's free, the exact total and the delivery time — you know the full price before you commit.
- The car is delivered to your hotel, villa or the airport. Walk around it, photograph any scratches and check the fuel level together.
- Show your passport and licence + IDP, pay, and drive off. Return is collected from the same address (or another one you agree on).
