Vehicle Handover at Your Villa in Bali: Step by Step
By the siappergi.com team · Published · 3 min read · Baca dalam Bahasa Indonesia
Vehicle handover at your villa in Bali is the moment that most decides whether your holiday starts smoothly. This guide explains what to check, which documents to show, and how payment works when the vehicle arrives.
Many travellers assume the rental is finished once they've messaged the WhatsApp number. In fact, the quality of the handover at your villa, hotel or airport is what decides whether your scooter or car is ready to ride or drive safely. Here is a practical guide from the SiapPergi team, who deliver vehicles to locations across Bali.
Why handover at the villa matters
When the vehicle is brought straight to your villa, you don't have to carry valuables to a rental office or wait in an unfamiliar place. But because of that, the condition check has to happen on the spot, before the team leaves. Once they have left the villa area, damage claims that surface later are much harder to prove.
What to check before you accept the vehicle
Spend about five minutes checking the following with the staff member:
- Vehicle documents: make sure the original STNK (registration) is with the vehicle and the official number plates are fitted.
- Tyres: check pressure and tread. Bald tyres should be reported right away.
- Brakes and lights: squeeze the front and rear brakes, switch on the headlight, indicators and brake lights.
- Oil and engine: make sure the engine starts smoothly without unusual noises.
- Bodywork: photograph or film existing scratches, dents or cracks, with the date and time visible.
- Helmets: for scooters, make sure two helmets are provided and in good condition.
All of these are already part of the SiapPergi routine check before every rental, but it is still good for you to confirm them yourself.
Documents you need to show
At handover you will usually be asked to show the following:
| Vehicle type | Documents requested |
|---|---|
| Scooter | Motorcycle licence, passport or ID card |
| Car | Valid car licence |
Note: Foreign visitors normally carry their home-country licence together with an International Driving Permit (IDP) in the matching category. Licence rules are set by the Indonesian government and can change, so check the official source before you travel.
SiapPergi does not keep your passport or ID. You only show it so it can be checked.
How payment works when the vehicle arrives
There is no online payment and no upfront transfer. You pay in Indonesian Rupiah when the vehicle is delivered and you have met the team. Methods can be cash, bank transfer or e-wallet. No deposit is held.
The price that applies is the fixed catalogue price, starting from Rp70.000 per day for scooters and Rp310.000 per day for cars. Delivery and pick-up to your hotel, villa or Ngurah Rai Airport are included in the price, so there is no extra delivery fee. You only pay the catalogue price plus any add-ons you choose, such as a raincoat or phone holder.
Short checklist for handover day
- Have your licence and passport ready so the process is quick.
- Check tyres, brakes, lights and oil together with the staff member.
- Take photos of the vehicle from all four sides and note any existing scratches.
- Make sure the original STNK and official plates are present.
- Ask for the WhatsApp number for urgent help and the opening hours, which are every day from 07.00 to 23.00 WITA.
- Complete the payment as agreed and keep your proof of payment.
